Welcome to the 2023 Softball Registration Session with Prior Lake Athletics for Youth

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE PAGE BEFORE REGISTERING

 

** Program Eligibility --**IMPORTANT**  - THIS REGISTRATION AND PRIOR LAKE SOFTBALL (P.L.A.Y.) ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO RESIDENTS WITHIN SCHOOL DISTRICT 719 or THOSE THAT ATTEND SCHOOL WITHIN THE DISTRICT.  Your Registration will be reviewed prior to the season and anyone not meeting this criteria will have their registration voided, as per the directive of the P.L.A.Y. Executive Board.

REGISTRATION:
This registration session will allow you to sign consents, complete contact information and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or checking account information available.

TRAVEL OR IN-HOUSE- Decide which program is right for your player:

 

 

* Travel Fastpitch players need to register for their age level based on the child's age as of Dec 31, 2022.
 

* In-House players need to register for the level based on the grade your child is CURRENTLY in.
 

*Pre-K must be 5 yrs old by Sept. 1, 2023, to register. (Must be in preschool currently).
 

Girls should sign up for T-Ball through Softball Registration, if girls register for T-Ball through Baseball we will assume you want to play Baseball with 99% of participants being boys. Softball T-Ball has historically been 100% girls.


In-House Softball Information

See the In-House Softball page for more details on these programs. Historically, the In-House Softball program is 100% girls.

 

In-House is for girls PreK - 12th grade that are looking to begin their enjoyment of softball or are not interested in pursuing fastpitch softball. The focus of the In-House program for grades PreK-4th grade is on the developmental of skills with an element of competition in the 3rd-4th grade level. Games are played within the community against the other teams at the same age level for the PreK-4th grade age levels. Age levels are broken up as followed: PreK/K, 1st/2nd Grade, 3rd/4th Grade, 5th-7th Grade, and 8th-12th Grade.  

 

3rd/4th grade has a year end TWO day tournament July 22nd & 23rd. Please plan to have your daughters available to participate, specific dates will be posted on the Softball page of the website. The Tournament may have preliminary rounds played prior to that weekend but will be played during regularly scheduled nights.

 

Slowpitch (5th-12th grade) focuses on the development of skills while competing in games against all of the South Metro League teams and are played in the cities that participate (Prior Lake, Burnsville, Apple Valley, Eagan, and Inver Grove Heights). 

 

Slowpitch has TWO weekend tournaments throughout the season. The mid-season: June 17th  & 18th and the end of year: July 22nd & 23rd. Please have you daughters available to play for both of these dates. The South Metro Girls Slowpitch League is in cooperation with the Burnsville Athletic Club (BAC), Apple Valley Athletic Association (VAA), Eagan Athletic Association  (EAA), and Inver Grove Heights Park and Recreation.

 

Divisions as as follows:

 

PreK/K T-Ball, transitioning to coach pitch over the season. Player MUST be entering K or CURRENTLY enrolled in K.

 

1st/2nd Grade Machine Pitch, CURRENTLY enrolled in 1st or 2nd Grade.

 

3rd/4th Grade Machine Pitch, CURRENTLY enrolled in 3rd or 4th Grade.

 

5th-7th Grade South Metro League Intermediate Level Player Pitch Slowpitch, CURRENTLY enrolled in 5th, 6th or 7th Grade.

 

8th-12th Grade South Metro League Senior Level Player Pitch Slowpitch, CURRENTLY enrolled in 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th Grade.

 

Please note: Any request made by a family for their in-house softball player(s) need to be approved by the softball board. There must be a very specific situation to receive any approval. Please plan accordingly before signing your player(s) up. 

 

***Registration for In-House closed on March 20th, any registrations after this date will have a fee increase of $50.00.***

 


Traveling Fastpitch Softball Information

See the Softball Traveling page for details. Historically, the Travel Softball program is 100% Girls.

 

Travel Fastpitch is for Girls 8u-14u wanting a competitive experience with out of town league play 50% of the time during the week and out of town tournament on some weekends.

Two Day General Tryouts for Traveling Teams

Non-refundable $47.00 tryout fee (included in registration fee). Fee goes towards paying for dome time for tryouts, independent 3rd party tryout evaluators, independent pitching tryout evaluators.

 

Pitcher Tryouts: Tuesday

All pitchers, times to be assigned

Tuesday, March 7th 4pm-8pm.

 

General Tryout Day 1: Wednesday 

8U/10U: March 8th, 5:00pm-7:00pm Savage Dome

12U/14U: March 8th, 7:00pm-9:00pm Savage Dome

 

General Tryout Day 2: Sunday

8U/10U: March 12th, 6:00pm-8:00pm, Savage Dome

12U/14U: March 12th, 8:00pm-10:00pm, Savage Dome

 

Divisions are as follows:

8U Machine Pitch, MUST be born in 2015 or 2016: $307

10U Player Pitch, MUST be born in 2012, 2013, 2014: $407

12U Player Pitch, MUST be born in 2010 or 2011: $407

14U Player Pitch, MUST be born in 2008 or 2009: $407

***Late Travel registration pricing begins on 2/6/2022. Fee increase of $50.00.***
