2023 Baseball Registration


Welcome to the 2023 Baseball Registration Session with Prior Lake Athletics for Youth

Please read this entire page before Registering

For 2023 we are continuing to grow our program with the focus on developing players and playing with players of like abilities and goals. P.L.A.Y. Baseball provides a baseball opportunity for Pre-K - 15yr old 9th graders.
*Eligibility - You must live within or go to school in the Prior Lake School District #719 - to participate in our programs.

Pre-K must be 5yrs old by Sept. 1, 2023.

Girls should sign up for Tee Ball through Softball Registration.  If a girl registers for Baseball,  we will assume they want to play Baseball with the understanding that 99% of participants will be  Boys.

As you register, your first option in the Organization Options section will be Travel or In House. Some information is below but for more detailed information return to the Baseball Webpage to help understand the differences and expectations, before registering.


Travel Baseball

If your child is hoping to play on a Travel Team (plays in weekend Tournaments and weekday League play) they will be required to go through the Tryout process and you will need to pay the full registration fee.

After tryouts, players that are not placed on a Travel Team will be placed on an In-House team at the appropriate grade level and those partial refunds will be made within approximately 10 business days of team announcements. If a player who is not placed on a travel team is going to opt-out of Baseball completely, they must do that within 10 days of Teams being announced.

Please see the Travel Baseball webpage for information about any upcoming parent meeting dates, tryout dates, and other important information about the program. The Travel option is only available to players currently in the 3rd - 9th grades.

Travel Team Players and Parents will also be required to sign an In-Season Commitment Agreement prior to Tryouts.

* 9U - 14U TRAVEL Baseball registration closes on February 9th at 11 am, registrations after that date will incur a Late Fee of $50 up until the Final Close on February 27nd at 11 am.

15U TRAVEL Baseball registration closes on March 19th at 11 am.


*New for 2023 -  the travel baseball hat package is included in registration. If you need a jersey package details on how to order and when to try-on will be posted to the travel baseball facebook page and emailed. 


* Travel Fees include a $95 Tryout Fee for 9U thru 14/15U.  Should a player not make a travel team, the amount they paid minus the Tryout Fee will be applied to the player’s In-House fee or refunded back via the original form of payment as applicable.

* If an athlete attends the tryout prep sessions at Starters and/or the Savage Dome and requests a refund on the season a fee of $25/session attended up to a max of $100 will be deducted from the refund amount.

There are NO REFUNDS once Travel Teams are announced. 
Refunds, in general, are not issued - except for injury or change of mind prior to the end of registration ($27 Administrative fee retained).


In House Baseball

Please register your child for the grade level that they are currently in.

* Pre-K - 2nd-grade players can only select In-House play. There are no tryouts for In-House baseball.
* ALL TEAM Rosters are randomly selected and assembled by In-house baseball leadership. If you are interested in joining the in-house board of directors please connect with Eric Randt. 

* 8th - 12th-grade players must register with BAC (Burnsville Athletic Club Baseball for In-House). You can possibly form your own IH teams if you contact BAC Baseball in conjunction with the P.L.A.Y. In-House Baseball Director.  For more information, please visit

IN-HOUSE Baseball registration closes on March 15th at NOON, registrations after that date will incur a Late Fee of $50 until the Final Close on March 25th at NOON.

In-House may offer additional Late registrations after the Final Close if space is available in a particular grade, however, once a grade is full there will be no more players added to that grade.

There are no IN-HOUSE refunds after the registration deadline dates.

Please register AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, this gives volunteers time to get the season ready for the nearly 1,100 kids participating Prior Lake Baseball.


Parents interested in Coaching/Volunteering in the program.

We alway need help Coaching and organizing the program (NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED). Volunteers and Volunteer Coaches are the backbone of our program, please consider finding a way to give back to our baseball program many non-coaching roles available. 

If you are planning or are interested in being a coach. YOU MUST REGISTER

All Head or Assistant Coach at any level,  MUST complete the separate Registration for 2023 Summer Coaches.

**IMPORTANT**  - THIS REGISTRATION AND P.L.A.Y. BASEBALL ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO RESIDENTS WITHIN SCHOOL DISTRICT 719 or THOSE THAT ATTEND A SCHOOL WITHIN THE DISTRICT.  Your Registration will be reviewed prior to the season and anyone not meeting this criteria will have their registration voided.
